BasicMailer has two kinds of passwords:

  • Dashboard password: the one you use to sign in to your account at basicmailer.com.
  • Mailbox password: the one each email address uses to sign in to webmail and mail apps.

If you forgot your dashboard password

  1. On the sign-in page, select Forgot password.
  2. Enter your account's email address and select Send reset link.
  3. Open the link in the email, enter a new password and select Update password.

The link is valid for 60 minutes and works once. Changing your password signs you out on other devices.

Note

If you signed up with Google, you may not have a dashboard password. Use Log in with Google on the sign-in page.

If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder and wait a few minutes.

If a mailbox password is forgotten

Mailbox passwords aren't reset by email. The account owner opens Users in the dashboard, chooses Change password from the mailbox's … menu and sets a new one. That password then needs to be entered in the mail apps on the user's phone and computer too.
